BACHELOR
OF ARCHITECTURE (B. ARCH)
Current
Scenario:
Human creativity is best highlighted in the structures
we make. A well designed and well made structure can
live forever, long after the maker is gone. A career
in the field of architecture demands that the person
should have a higher than normal creativity. It also
requires the person to be well informed about the latest
trends in the designing of structures. In short, only
the most creative and well informed people are suited
for a profession like this.
Future
Prospects:
As the number of people on this planet are only increasing
by the day, the number of housing and other such utility
structures is constantly increasing too. The need for
architects is never ending as the need for better and
more cost effective housing solutions keeps increasing
by leaps and bounds every day. Also, it is the architects
who make it possible to create a structure from scratch
for public utility. Bridges, buildings, commercial complexes,
city plans etc., are possible only if they have a sound
and robust design that can withhold time and weather
alike. Making such a thing possible is the job of the
architect.
Who should go for it:
People with a flair for design and a bigger than normal
hunger to make something new, do something different
that would last through the test of time and make their
mark on the creativity of the human race should opt
for this field. This is one field that ensures a complete
mental satisfaction to the designer.
