(DUAL DEGREE) CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
Current
Scenario:
Overall, job opportunities in engineering are expected
to be good, but will vary according to the specialization
of the individual. Chemical Technology involves the
individual's capacity to work in the field of formulating
and managing chemical based processes at entities involved
in this field. The work also involves formulating ways
and methods that can provide a cheaper and better volumes
of various commodities that involve chemical processes.
Although, it may sound like that the profession involves
that the chemical engineer is supposed to get into making
new chemicals and other such materials, it is just the
opposite of that. Chemical Engineers are responsible
for almost everything that the other branches of engineering
and science develop and formulate. It is considered
to be the complete branch of engineering containing
all the aspects of all other fields of engineering.
Future
Prospects:
Chemical Technology presents a variety of opportunities
for students. The work profile might involve managing
and formulating chemical processes that can provide
better volumes at cheaper costs.
Who
should go for it:
Chemical technology promises to throw all the possible
challenges a person may not be able to handle at once.
So this field is not for the people who think they might
just get to change their field in case they do not get
adapted to it. This is meant for the people with a strong
resolve to carry on in the face of failure as a lot
depends on a chemical engineer in order to make a lot
more things than just chemical equations to work.
