VISION
STATEMENT:
GTBIT
will excel as an intellectually vibrant, technologically advanced
and research centered institution which will be dynamically
proactive to the ever changing needs of the field of engineering.
GTBIT
was setup in 1999 keeping in view the rapid technological
growth in the society and market place. It is located in 5.3
acres and has 16 spacious classrooms, 6 tutorial halls, 10
faculty rooms, a computer center, 20 laboratories, a projection
room, a workshop and a canteen for student's convenience.
The institute is headed by Maj Gen (Retd) CHAHAl

COMPUTER
CENTER:

state of the art computers including 180 IBM computers with
latest software's in the four computer labs with LAN * Programming
* LINUX * Networking and Internet facilities.
LABORATORIES
AND WORKSHOPS:
The
institute has 20 well-equipped labs in: Circuits and Systems,
Analog Electronics, Microprocessor and digital design system,
Digital Design Processing, Microwave Engg. , Electrical Science,
Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, Controlled Systems,
Consumer Electronics, Satellite and mobile communications,
Chemistry and Physics.
The institute also has a mechanical workshop and an Engg.
Graphics lab.
LIBRARY:
More
than 23000 books, library automation software system and Internet
connection. The institute has a book bank facility for the
students and a seating capacity of 300 students.
FACULTY:
A
dedicated faculty comprising of 30 professors and lecturers.
Four of the lecturers are doctorates and one is pursuing PhD.
The visiting faculty consists of 5 very senior and experienced
persons: one professor, 2 assistant professors, 1 reader and
1 lecturer.
TRAINING
AND PLACEMENT:
A
full-fledged cell coordinates with various industries and
provides the students with relevant information. In-house
6 week training in mandatory for every student after the 4th
semester. After 6th semester students go for summer training
with reputed companies. It is a matter of great pride for
us that out of our first pass-out batch of 190 students, about
66% have got placement in companies such as Birla Softwares,
Hughes Software Systems, IBM, Infosys, ORACLE, Quark-India
Pvt. Ltd., Ramco Systems, Sapient, Satyam, Siemens, ST Micro
Electronics, Wipro etc. and are getting an approx. salary
of 1.7 lakhs per annum. More than 25% students have been selected
for higher studies by Indian and foreign Universities.
SPORTS
AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Students
are encouraged to participate in inter college competitions
and have won innumerable prizes at the university level. There
is a provision for table tennis, chess, volley ball and cricket
in the institute.
