ABOUT THE INSTITUTE:
The
Ideal Institute of Management and Technology is affiliated
to G.G.S.Indraprastha University, Delhi for B.Ed., BCA and
BBA(CAM) courses. Presently the Institute is running in an
independent 3 storied rented building located at Patparganj
area of East Delhi. The Institute has plan to shift to its
new campus at 16-X, Karkardooma Institutional Area, Delhi-91
from the Academic Session 2003-2004.
FACULTY:
The
Institute has a team of dedicated and experienced faculty
committed to impart quality education. Learning Programme
is strongly supported by outstanding experts and accomplished
professionals from leading universities, industries and corporate
world. The Institute is headed by Dr.P.N.Gupta -an eminent
educationist and administrator.
COMPUTER
LAB:
The
Institute has air-conditioned computer lab with 42 computers
of latest configuration connected with LAN. The computer lab
is also linked up with the internet and exposes the students
to wide variety of operating systems and application softwares
such as windows NT, Visual Studio, Tally, MS-Office, Oracle,
Java, SQL etc.
LIBRARY:
Library
supports learning, teaching nad consulting with more than
6000 text and Reference Books, Periodicals and Journals (Indian
& Foreign). Magazines and Daily Newspapers are being regularly
subscribed for the academic requirements and to encourage
reading habits in the students.
TEACHING
AIDS:
To
facilitate comprehension of courses by students, modern teaching
aids like OHP, TV, Slide Projector, Scanner etc. are available
to the faculty members.
TEACHING
METHODOLOGY:
In
addition to classroom lectures, IIMT encourages different
teaching techniques i.e. seminars, presentations, case study,
role play and participative workshops. To ensure a right mix
of theoretical inputs and practical experience, students are
taken on periodical visits to industrial organizations and
educational centers.
PERSONALITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES:
The
institute provides facilities to develop the composite personality
of the students by encouraging then in fine arts, sports and
cultural activities.
ACADEMIC
ACHIEVEMENTS:
The
institute has distinguished itself in academic achievements.
In BIS (H) there were 23 distinctions holders, 3 first divisioners
out of 26 whereas in B.Ed. 46 students achieved distinctions
and 11 first divisioners out of 60. it was 100% first divisioners
bonanza.
