Maharaja
Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) established by Maharaja
Agrasen Technical Education Society is promoted by a Group
of well known Industrialist, Businessmen, Professionals and
Philanthropists with an aim to promote quality education and
research in the field of technology. The institution is affliated
to Guru gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and recognized
by the AICTE. The various B.Tech courses offered include:
· Computer Science & Engineering
· Electronics & Communication Engineering
· Mechanical & Automation Engineering
· Information Technology
The
thrust of education at this institution is to provide computers
as an aid to study, an object of study, professional tool,
an intellectual tool, an instrument of social change and above
all it impact on the very nature and practice of engineering
at large.
Industries-institution interaction and placements form composite
training procedures. Most of the first batch students (1999-2003)
have been placed in various industries.
FACULTY
A
well qualified 59 full time and 7 Visiting Faculty members
with 13 PhDs and 14 M.Techs comprising of 1:12 teacher-student
ratio against 1:15, as prescribed by AICTE are in place. There
is a continuous Faculty Development Programme and the faculty
is deputed to Premier Technical Institutions for acquiring
higher qualifications/experience.
