Surajmal Institute Of Technology has been established by Surajmal
Memorial educational society to provide quality education
in the filed of engineering, Technology, pharmacy. It is a
non-profitable Institution with a focus on development of
human potential. The institute is located in institutional
area of janakpuri and has a magnificent building. The campus
is spread about 8 acres of land allotted by DDA on leasehold
basis. The institute has lush green lawns and trees.
BUILDING:
besides the exiting four storied building having 6297 sq m
of built up area, another seven-storied building with 9660
sq m of built up area is under construction, which is likely
to be ready within three months. In the existing building
there are 80 rooms and the new building will have 77 rooms.

FACULTY:
The Institute has experienced and Qualified full time faculty
comprising of 3 professors and 35 Lecturers out of which 2
professors and 1 Assistant are PhD holders, teacher's to students
ratio is maintained 1:15 as per A.I.C.T.E. Norms. Eminent
academicians and professionals are invited as visiting faculty
to teach and guide specific courses. The faculty is supported
by eminent technical staff.
FACILITIES:
The institute has well-established labs for the following
subjects-:
· Computer Lab: The institute has four well equipped
air conditioned computer laborites with 150 Pentium IV HCL
machines, multimedia along with internet access, Dot Matrix
Printer, Laser printer, DeskJet printer licensed software's
as per requirement of curricula.
· Physics Lab: Well equipped with LASER, fiber optics
and ultrasonic experiments as per requirement of curricula.
· Chemistry Lab: Well established lab.
· Electronic Machine Lab is well equipped with both
AC and DC motors, generators along with measuring instruments.
· Electronic Lab: Institute has following well-equipped
lab.

4) Communication System and Circuit Lab.
5) Microwave Lab
6) VLSI Design Lab.

· Library: The Library is laid over an area of 234
sq. Meter and has over 19000 volumes covering different areas
of studies. It has spacious reading room with sufficient number
of journals, Periodicals, Magazines, New Papers and dailies
including 11 professional journals.

Placement: The institute has an active placement cell
· Hostel: The hostel accommodation for 250 students
(boys and girls) and mess facility on campus where hygienic
& nutritious food is provided at minimum possible cost.
· Canteen: Canteen facilities with adequate seating
capacity exist on the campus.
· Sports facility: There is well developed play ground
for various games such as Footballs, Volleyball, Cricket,
Badminton etc. Facility for Indoor Games such as Carum Board,
Chess and Table Tennis is also available.
· Extra curricular Activities: For all round development
of students, seminars and Group Discussions are organized
regularly.
