The
College:
The
PMC College of Education is run by the Public School Educatinal
society which is a non-proprientary body and which is already
running the PSM Public SR SEC School, affiliated to CBSE THE
PMC College of education is duly recognized by the NCTE and
affiliated to GGSIP University to run a regular coeducational
full time B.Ed. Course of one year duration. The college has
been running this course with effect from the session 2001-2002
in a spacious, independent three storied building which has
sprawling play ground for the exclusive use of the college
of education.
Result:
In its very maiden year, the PMC college of Education made
the path breaking progress in every sphere of the academics.
out of 59 students who appeared in the university B.ED. examination,
all of them secured first division with more than 70% marks
while 44 students secured distinction getting above 75% of
marks and we are proud to report that 16 students secured
above 80% marks. In the year 20022003, it was further improved.
Out of 56 students who appeared in the B.Ed examination, 37
students secured more than 80% marks and rest of them secured
more than 60% marks. The topper of the University, Deepa Kakaria
was our student who topped the University securing 88.6% marks,
Thus, Deepa Kakaria has made us proud.
Highlights:
Seminars and extension lectures by eminent persons have been
organized this year also. In our Annual Function held on 23rd
Feb, 2003, Hon'ble vice chancellor, Pro KK Aggarwal was our
esteemed Chief Guest who also awarded certificate of merit
to students. on 12-11-2003 a picnic was organized in Fun &
Food Village. The students and Teachers interacted freely
and gained professionally. Usual co curricular activities
have been organized as per college calendar and they have
always be organized in such a way that student organizing
skill automatically. Last year the college conducted Educational
Excursion to Kullu Manali. Manikaran, Chandigrah in Dec 2002.
This year we would like to go to the south. Under the ab;e
guidance of Shri Chanraj Singh Chairman and Dr. R Singh, a
veteran teacher Educator and Principal, the staff ois also
advancing their career. Many members are learning computers
etc on their own, appearing in the NET examination and pursing
their Ph.D. studies. TO improve their teaching skills they
interact with each other freely. The society extends its full
patronage
