Infrastructure:
100% Internet Connectivity in each class room, Library &
Administrative Area. The institute has 45,000 sq.ft, air-conditioned
space equipped with modern teaching aids like Multimedia,
OHPs, PA System, 100 work stations, HP Brio's/IBM, networked
by Pentium III/IV NT servers having LINUX and Windows based
OS. Internet connectivity through Leased line - 2 Mbps with
a backup support of multiple ISDN lines 128 kbps, managed
by routers, a well equipped library having wide range of books,
online judgments, journals, reports, magazines on IT, LAW
and Mass Communications, Moot Court Room, Classrooms with
a capacity of 60-100, multi purpose studio for Audio, Video
& Photography, Audio Lab, Video Lab with digital cameras
& non-linear editing setup. VIPS has a team of highly
knowledgeable permanent faculty.
Professional Development:
The
endeavor of the institute is to groom the students not only
as thorough professionals but also as a good human being.
First hand exposure is given to the students of Law in the
working of quotes and other organizations. Special emphasis
is laid on the development of writing and presentations skills
of students.
Special interest groups:
Many activities like quiz, Know more club, Regular seminars
by industry experts arfe regular features in the IT department
to prepare students for their personality development and
professional placement.
BJ (MC) is an interactive program, which keeps a student active
and involved throughout the year. It is focused on industry
and more emphasis is given on practical input. Contemporary
Mass Media including print, electronic and cyber media are
covered extensively. Summer training and industry exposure
are provided regularly. Journalism, Advertising, PR, Non-linear
Editing, Audio editing, Graphics, Animations and multimedia
applications form an essential part of the syllabi.
INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES:
4
students of VIPS took professional examinations of the Australian
computer society. All of them successfully qualified the papers
that they opted. VIPS was selected as a learning center for
a pilot project on E-Learning as part of the Asian Network
of Major Cities 21 project.
